Dr. Haseeb Elias Hadid, Assistant Professor in the Department of Translation at the College of Arts, Alnoor University, delivered a lecture at the Arab Cultural Forum in the United Kingdom (London) entitled (Translation and Identity: The Ethics of Creativity in Translation) on Friday, February 20, 2026.
In his lecture, he discussed important topics in the field of translation, including translation and identity, the role of translation in shaping identity, translation strategies and identity, the translator’s imprint, and subjectivity and objectivity in translation.
