The Translation Department at Alnoor University organizes a workshop on the creative and cognitive flow in translation

The Department of Translation at the College of Arts, Alnoor University, in cooperation with the Continuing Education Center, organized on Monday, 13/4/2026, a scientific workshop titled , in the presence of Professor Dr. Wael Alnahhas, Dean of the College of Arts.

The workshop addressed the concept of translation as a creative and cognitive process that goes beyond the literal transfer of texts to include the re-production of meaning in a way that aligns with different cultural and linguistic contexts. It also highlighted the role of the translator in building knowledge bridges between peoples and enhancing cultural understanding.

The workshop was chaired and its topics presented by the lecturer Abdullah Saud Abdul Mohsen, where he highlighted the key challenges facing translators and the mechanisms for developing creative and cognitive skills in the field of translation.
