About the Department
The Department of Clinical Psychology at Alnoor University was established in the academic year 2025–2026. It is concerned with preparing specialized academic and professional cadres in the field of mental health through providing scientific and applied education that keeps pace with the latest approved clinical theories and practices. The department focuses on integrating theoretical knowledge with practical training, thereby contributing to serving the individual and society and enhancing the quality of psychological well-being.
Objectives of the Department
The Department of Clinical Psychology at Alnoor University seeks to achieve the following objectives: Preparing graduates who possess scientific and professional competence in clinical psychology, capable of practicing assessment, diagnosis, and therapeutic intervention in accordance with approved standards. Ensuring the quality of clinical training through structured field training programs and specialized professional supervision. Developing scientific research skills and critical thinking among students and faculty members. Adhering to professional ethics and professional responsibility in psychological practice. Contributing to the promotion of mental health and community awareness through awareness programs and psychological services. Building effective partnerships with health and educational institutions and civil society organizations. Keeping pace with recent scientific and technological developments in the field of clinical psychology and ensuring continuous improvement of the academic program.

Graduate Description
A graduate of the Department of Clinical Psychology is a specialist who possesses the theoretical knowledge and practical skills necessary to assess and diagnose psychological disorders, design and implement psychotherapeutic and counseling programs, and deal with individual and group cases within a professional and ethical framework. They are also qualified to work in hospitals, healthcare centers, schools, and rehabilitation and correctional institutions, as well as to participate in multidisciplinary teams concerned with mental health and quality of life.
