Head of the Translation Department at Alnoor University Participates as a Member of a Master’s Thesis Defense Committee at the University of Tikrit

Within the framework of the active academic presence of Alnoor University’s faculty members in Iraqi universities, Assistant Professor Dr. Nidaa Salem Omar, Head of the Department of Translation at the College of Arts, participated as a member of the Master’s thesis examination committee submitted by student Nada Basil Arhaim Marzouk at the Department of Translation, College of Arts – University of Tikrit. The thesis was entitled:
Emotion and Neutralization in the Translation of Ibn Zaydun’s Nuniyya: Human and AI Perspectives
(Emotion and the Phenomenon of Neutralization in Translating Ibn Zaydun’s Nūniyya: A Comparative Perspective between Humans and Artificial Intelligence)
The thesis examined the impact of emotion and the phenomenon of neutralization in the translation of Ibn Zaydun’s Nuniyya, through a comparative analysis between human translation and translation based on artificial intelligence technologies, thereby contributing to the enrichment of modern studies in the field of translation and artificial intelligence applications.
At the conclusion of the defense, the College of Arts at the University of Tikrit honored Assistant Professor Dr. Nidaa Salem Omar by presenting her with a Certificate of Appreciation, in recognition of her academic contribution and distinguished role in enriching the discussion. This reflects the esteemed academic standing enjoyed by the faculty members of Alnoor University and their active presence in scientific forums across Iraqi universities.
