Dean's Speech
In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.

Happiness has a title, and its meaning is complete when we welcome our esteemed guests to the halls of Alnoor University and its colleges, including the College of Arts and its departments.
The College of Arts was officially established in the academic year 2023–2024 as part of Alnoor University's vision and strategy, aiming to play a distinguished role in enhancing the labor market and responding to the needs of sustainable development for the Iraqi community in general, and particularly for the governorate of Nineveh and neighboring provinces. This is because the pillars of development cannot be completed without attention to the humanities, with the College of Arts and its specializations at the forefront.
The importance of the College of Arts is reflected in its objectives, which were set to ensure that these goals are applied to keep pace with the times, by providing students with high-quality knowledge and scientific experiences, preparing them to enter the labor market with competence and skill, and facilitating creativity, innovation, scientific thinking, and the development of community responsibility and research skills, according to the latest international scientific standards. The college is committed to raising the level of its academic programs, both theoretical and practical, and works diligently to qualify, train, and build the skills and capabilities of its students through its diverse programs and the departments it currently offers and plans to expand in the future.
In its strategy aimed at achieving the highest standards of quality and accreditation, the College of Arts strives to engage with similar colleges locally, regionally, and internationally, with the goal of exchanging expertise and benefiting from outstanding global models in universities that have achieved advanced global rankings. The college is also keen to attract the highest scientific talents in its fields of specialization to enhance its academic and scientific excellence. It operates in line with its vision and mission, collaborating with scientific and community institutions through conferences, seminars, and related activities to strengthen ties and serve our community.
The College of Arts grants a bachelor's degree in its current specializations (Digital Media Department, Translation Department), and it aims to introduce new specializations that align with global knowledge developments, as well as those of significant importance in the labor market and the advancement of sustainable development. It is committed to providing high-quality knowledge and sciences that enhance the research capabilities of its students in various fields, developing their scientific thinking and dialogue skills, deepening their analytical, cultural, and societal competencies, and increasing their awareness and understanding of their heritage and history, ensuring its preservation and growth. This is in response to the growing demand for creative and innovative specialists in the humanities and social sciences, in a world constantly changing due to the rapid advancement of modern technologies and their applications.
